Letter to Readers and Awards Ceremony Updates

In a couple short weeks Maryland Works will host its 13th Annual Employment Awards Luncheon. MD Works is extremely excited to have its first event in 2 years. This year there were so many great nominations. It was extremely difficult for the nomination committee to narrow down just one winner in each category. Maryland Works’ would like to acknowledge and recognize ALL nominees for their outstanding work and commitment to excellence. The 2022 award winners are:

This year's event will be held on November 22nd at the Marriott BWI from 9-1:30. There will be a morning session entitled: "Refocus: Navigating the Path to Employment for Individuals with a Disability". This session will consist of two (2) data panels with members of MD Developmental Disabilities Association, Division of Rehab Services, MSDE, Behavioral Health Administration, Labor, and local WIOA Directors from Prince George’s and Anne Arundel County.

The luncheon and awards ceremony will start promptly at 11:30, with check-in beginning at 11am. The ceremony will be hosted by 98 Rock’s Justin Schlegel, feature remarks from distinguished guests and a keynote by Comedian Ryan Niemiller.
