Ken Handy, Managing Partner & Retirement Planning Specialist at Phoenix Private Wealth: Founder and Co-Managing Partner of the DBA, Phoenix Private Wealth, located in Columbia, MD. Phoenix Private Wealth consists of dedicated advisors and administrative professionals who serve their clients financial planning needs by helping them to achieve their dreams and make their financial goals a reality.

Since joining the financial planning industry in 2004, Mr. Handy has built one of the top practices in the region. In 2011 he partnered with Equitable Advisors with a vision to make an impact on his clients both regionally and nationally. Since Partnering with Equitable Advisors, he has won numerous awards. Mr. Handy is a 4-time Management Development Award Winner, a 4-time Management Leadership Award Winner, and a 2-time Elite Leader, an exclusive award given to the top teams inside of Equitable Advisors nationwide. Mr. Handy has also been ranked as high as 7th out of hundreds of Equitable Advisors teams nationwide.

Mr. Handy attended Limestone College as a dual sport athlete in Soccer and Lacrosse before transferring to the University of Maryland. He graduated from the University of Maryland in 2001, with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. As a former student athlete, he is very passionate about giving back to students who have a passion for sports and leadership. He has collaborated with numerous universities, organizations, and collegiate athletic departments to provide workshops and presentations to students and athletes with a focus on their future and post collegiate goals.

 

David Baker, Managing Partner & Retirement Planning Specialist of Phoenix Private Wealth, CFP®, ChFC®, RICP®, AIF®: is a Financial Consultant and Retirement Planning Specialist at Equitable Advisors and Managing of Phoenix Private Wealth. Mr. Baker focuses on retirement anddistribution strategies, estate planning tactics, wealth management, tax efficient investments,and asset protection strategies.

He began his career with the company, now Equitable Advisors, in 2009 as a Financial Consultant.Mr. Baker is ranked nationally at Equitable, ranking #7 in the country for his company-assigned class in 2013 for overall production. He is a Managing Partner of Equitable Advisors’ Capital Branch top firm, Phoenix Private Wealth, which has held distinction since 2011. Mr. Baker has also qualified for Equitable Advisors' Elite Advisor Group as a Paramount Planning Group Member. He is a qualifying member of the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), an elite international network of the top 5% of financial professionals globally, who serve their clients with exemplary performance and the highest standards of ethics, knowledge, and productivity.

Mr. Baker is a graduate of Gettysburg College with a degree in economics and business administration. He received the Retirement Planning Specialist certificate from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Executive Education. He earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional certificate through the CFP Board of standards and his Chartered Financial Consultant® designation through the American College of Financial Services. David has also earned his Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation through Fi360, now Broadridge, a professional organization which focuses on advisors exercising the highest ethical and moral standards to provide fiduciary care for their clients. David maintains the Series 7, Series 66, Series 24 registrations; and Life, Accident, and Health Licenses.

This payment is not deductible as a charitable contribution but may be deducted as a business expense. Please provide notice of accommodations needed two weeks in advance.
Courses have individual attendance requirements to receive a certificate. Please inquire with the trainer before missing any classes.
Unregistered Attendees: Training fees are per seat. Only those who have registered for a training are allowed to attend. If MD Works identifies unregistered attendees in a training course, MD Works will invoice for each unregistered attendee.
