This course is designed to help individuals—with and without disabilities—better understand the culture of disability in the workplace. It serves as an employer-employee training tool to dismantle attitudinal barriers and foster a more inclusive perspective on the unique abilities individuals bring to the workforce.
The program offers a series of interactive modules facilitated by a professional trainer. While there are twelve modules in total, sessions can be tailored to include a single module, a selection of modules, or all of them across one or more workshops.
The primary objective of the course is to raise awareness of the critical role that attitudes play in the employment of people with disabilities. It is grounded in the idea that changing attitudes leads to changes in behavior, particularly among employers, which ultimately supports the hiring and advancement of individuals with disabilities.
Using participatory exercises, the course helps participants:
Through group discussions and guided reflection, attendees will gain insight into their own attitudes and learn practical methods to become more effective professionals and allies in disability inclusion efforts.
