Job Description 

Title:                         Contract Coordinator

Status:                      Exempt          

Reports To:               Employment Works Program Manager

Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field; OR two (2) years’ experience in Procurement/Business Development. Excellent written and oral communication skills; Computer Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe); Ability to relate well to staff and board members of different races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, socioeconomic backgrounds, and religions. A deep commitment to workforce and community development.

Job Purpose: 

Under supervision of the Employment Works Program Manager, a Contract Specialist will administer, manage, and monitor supply and services contracts between the State of Maryland and eligible vendors through the Employment Works Program (EWP). The contract specialist will also work with a diverse team to identify and pursue business development strategies progress the mission of the organization. They will work creatively to build partnerships with Community Service Providers and Individual with Disability Owned Businesses. The Contract Specialist will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with state purchasers and agency leads in order to achieve workforce development goals.
