Participants will learn to understand how leaders are formed in the crucible of change. How the very forces that can undo leaders are also the ones that make and shape leaders.

Each lunch and learn session will require participants to read chapters from Tempered Resilience by Tod Bolsinger, attend each meeting prepared to share their respective learnings as they complete corresponding sections of the companion workbook, engage in active discussions, and share how they will be applying what they have learned within their respective organizations.

Facilitator: Michael Shriver is a member of the Penn-Mar Human Services Consultingk team. He brings over 48 years of experience in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors and has focused a large majority of his career on supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Mike has served as the CEO of several non-profit organizations, and as a senior executive at MBNA and Bank of America. Mike is a capable leader whose diverse perspectives, background, and experiences empower organizational leadership to take courageous steps forward.
