Day 1: Relational Training - September 14, 2022 - All registrants must attend. 

Day 2: Technical Training - September 15, 2022 - 10 of the 20 registrants will attend.

Day 3: Technical Training - September 16, 2022 - the remaining 10 registrants in the class will attend. 

 

We will send registrants an email before September 14th notifying them of which Technical Training date (Day 2 or Day 3) they will be attending. You do not have to attend both September 15th and September 16th.

Holistic, evidence-based training to reduce workplace violence. There is a better way to handle challenging behavior.  

Mandt training covers protocols and certification standards related to preventing, de-escalating, and, if necessary, intervening when the behavior of an individual poses a threat of harm to themselves or others, and to improving organizational cultures with respect to these issues.

 

Facilitator: Bill Stanley   

Mr. William E. Stanley Jr. has a Master of Arts (MA) Degree in Counseling Psychology and 30 years of experience in the field supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. He has worked as Director of Behavioral Support Services for the Central Maryland region from 2005 - 2013, the Director of Mobile Crisis Intervention Services in Maryland from 2013 – 2018 and is currently an independent trainer/consultant. Mr. Stanley has extensive experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental illness as well as providing administrative oversight for program staff.  He was approved as Behavioral Principals and Strategies Trainer in 1997, and in August of 2013, he completed the train the trainer course in the Positive Behavior Supports curriculum. He is currently certified as a MANDT instructor and has trained over 1,000 DSPs in this curriculum.

Courses have individual attendance requirements to receive a certificate. Please inquire with the trainer before missing any classes.
